With this position, we are seeking an enterprise engineer with knowledge and experience designing and developing asynchronous, distributed, performant, and scalable software using SAP in a cloud environment. You must have a passion for software development, participating in a distributed and Agile team, creating clean code, following and enforcing best practices, and documenting your work.

As a SAP Software Engineering Specialist, you work within a team to create software for BP colleagues and external users.
Your team’s mission is to be the digital provider of choice to your area of BP – delivering innovation at speed where it's wanted, and day-in-day-out reliability where it's needed.  You will operate in a dynamic and commercially focused environment, with the resources of one of the world's largest Digital organizations and leading Digital and IT vendors working with you. While your role will continue to remain within Software & Platform engineering, your initial activities described below may change over time.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Computer Science or other technical (e.g. Physics, Engineering) degree or equivalent commercial experience
• Up to 8 years of hands-on SAP ERP experience on Small/Medium scale projects for enterprise businesses.
• Intermediate SAP SD-FI, MM-FI, FICO integration knowledge.
• Experience in agile / Devops development methodologies.
   

  PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong understanding of SAP and its integration technologies
• Strong ABAP Development Experience – OData, API’S, RICEF, Cloud Platform, IDOCS
• Ability to communicate functional SAP strategies and roadmaps with Senior Executives, experience developing industry standard algorithms applicable to analyzing current business service behavior.
• Experience developing standards in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service expectations
• Experience working in an agile organization developing highly integrated and high-volume solutions.
