We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of SAP custom applications and enhancements. The ABAP Lead will manage a team of developers, ensure adherence to coding standards, and collaborate with functional consultants and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in SAP ABAP development, strong leadership skills, and experience in managing complex SAP projects.
Lead and manage a team of SAP ABAP developers across implementation, rollout, and support projects.
Gather technical requirements and design scalable, high-performing SAP solutions.
Develop, review, and optimize custom ABAP programs, enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports.
Work on advanced ABAP features: ALV, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements, SmartForms, Adobe Forms.
Ensure integration with other SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HR, etc.).
Collaborate with functional teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure performance optimization.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to junior developers.
Support SAP upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA transformation projects.
Prepare technical documentation and ensure compliance with project standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of SAP ABAP experience with at least 2–3 years in a lead role.
Strong expertise in ABAP/4 programming and Object-Oriented ABAP.
Proficiency in Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF).
Hands-on experience with SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms.
Knowledge of BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancement Framework.
Experience in OData, CDS Views, AMDP, and HANA-specific ABAP programming.
Exposure to Fiori/UI5 integration (preferred).
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
SAP ABAP certification (preferred).
