Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Oracle DBA with strong experience in enterprise database administration, production support, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high-availability environments.

Experience: 7+ Years
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract
Budget: USD $9/hour
Work Model: Remote | Rotational Shifts + On-Call Support

Job Requirements

  • Administer and support Oracle databases across production and non-production environments.
  • Provide rotational 24x7 production support and on-call assistance.
  • Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting and RCA.
  • Manage backup/recovery, Oracle Data Guard, HA and DR.
  • Handle database patching, upgrades, migrations and maintenance.
  • Manage database security, users, roles and access controls.
  • Monitor database health and resolve critical production incidents.
  • Work with application, infrastructure and cloud teams.
  • Automate DBA tasks using scripting and tools such as Shell, Python, PowerShell or Ansible.
  • Support databases across Azure and/or GCP environments.

Skills Required

    7+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.

    Strong Oracle Database Administration expertise.

    SQL & PL/SQL, performance tuning and troubleshooting.

    Oracle Data Guard, Backup & Recovery, HA/DR.

    Database patching, upgrades and migration.

    Strong production support experience.

    Experience with Azure and/or GCP.

    Scripting/automation experience.
